Citi Habitats was founded in 1994 with one mission in mind: To provide quality residential real estate services to customers in all price ranges. The company set out to fulfill a vital niche that seemed lacking in the industry - to hoist the concept of real estate service to another level. By retaining talented staff and driven brokers, building relationships with landlords citywide, and incorporating state-of-the-art technology, Citi Habitats has grown from two real estate agents to more than 900 licensed professionals and staff.
Gary Malin, Citi Habitats' Chief Operating Officer since 1998, is the principal figure in the day-to-day operations, strategic planning and overall vision for Citi Habitats. Under Malin's direction, Citi Habitats continues to expand its services as it sets the standard for residential real estate companies in New York City. A licensed attorney, Malin is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and of REBNY's Rental Committee as well as a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Citi Habitats maintains 15 branch offices in every Manhattan neighborhood. In addition, the firm represents more than 12 diverse on-site leasing and sales offices in Manhattan and beyond, including the tallest residential building in Philadelphia and property in Jersey City.
Citi Habitats maintains an in-house marketing and public relations team, listings department, webmasters, and market research experts. Our Corporate Relocation affiliate serves more than 100 international and domestic corporations - from Fortune 500 companies and major financial firms to the top relocation agencies. And our Settling-In Services affiliate ensures that every customer experiences a smooth transition into their new home. Through Citi Outreach, Citi Habitats consistently supports a number of charities, as our agents and staff are dedicated to giving back to the community.
Citi Habitats is owned and operated by NRT LLC. NRT, a subsidiary of Realogy Corporation and the nations largest residential real estate brokerage, owns such well-known real estate brands as The Corcoran Group, Coldwell Banker, Sothebys International Realty and ERA. Citi Habitats 2004 acquisition by NRT placed it in the largest residential real estate firms in New York City and in the country.
